Description Maciej Cytowski 2019-10-03 23:07:06 MDT
Hi all,

I am contacting you to ask if it would be possible to have a new state in Slurm for Pending nodes so the user can identify nodes that are already assigned to a job that hasn't started yet instead of just being marked as Idle ?

Kind regards,
Maciej

Hi Maciej - thank you for the suggestions. We are tracking a similar request in 7770 and so I am making this as a duplicate.

Hi Jason,

I was following 7770 but did not see any updates there for a long time. Are there chances to have this addressed in future SLURM releases?

Kind regards,
Maciej

Hi Maciej - we are tracking this via bug# 7770 and so we are not actively watching this bug. You can reply to the other linked bug. I have also made our team aware of your request here however it would still be good to have your ask in bug# 7770.
