In our environment, it would be useful to have a proxy role. This role would be allowed to submit jobs for a given account, modify job attributes and cancel jobs. However it would not include the privileges of a coordinator, at least as currently implemented, such as changing fairshare proportions, limits on associations or other allocation-related attributes.

Projects at our site are usually allocated to groups of people. In many cases, this group consists of a senior project lead and other team members, such as graduate students. The senior project lead has responsibility for allocations and other management responsibilities; all members share the responsibility of running jobs.

Jobs often consist of a chain of related dependent jobs, which may fail, requiring resubmission, modification or cancellation.

Please note that this is *not* a request to implement the functional equivalent of 'sudo sbatch' or 'sudo srun' The proxy user would submit the job as themselves but with the common account. It would be up to the project leader to use standard group permissions for access to file system resources, etc. The major privilege granted to the proxy user would be the ability to view, control or cancel the primary user's jobs.
