Hello,

Slurm is a fantastic scheduler, and our clients heavily use accounting not only to generate metrics but also for users and to create beautiful Grafana dashboards.

The major issue with the current accounting system is that it lacks metrics, a problem that has already been raised in tickets. Additionally, I believe that the ability to send accounting data to Elasticsearch has helped create great dashboards for monitoring jobs with Grafana + Elasticsearch.
However, relying solely on Elasticsearch for accounting, in my opinion, is a choice that could—and / should—be reconsidered.

Indeed, many of our clients would prefer using a Loki database rather than Elasticsearch, mainly due to its simplicity and lightweight nature.

Therefore, I would like to ask if it would be possible to adapt the Elasticsearch accounting integration for native support in Loki.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best regards,
