Description Sean Blanton 2015-04-22 06:37:35 MDT
Hi, I just got responsibility for our research platforms and I'd like to upgrade to the latest stable release of SLURM. As you know from the title, we are on v2.6.1.

Can I go straight to 14.11.5, or do I need to do a stepping stone approach?

I've read some of the other bugzilla upgrade tickets. I should upgrade slurmdbd first and make sure I maintain the state files before and after the upgrade of each node.

Thanks

Jacob Jenson can help set you up with support. About 40% of the code base has changed since Slurm v2.6

Thanks, I'll note that the word "upgrade" does not appear in the doc TOC

http://slurm.schedmd.com/documentation.html

and Quick Start Guides are usually for new installs, but I guess I did need a Quick Start Admin for an upgrade and it is actually there!

I now realize this bugzilla is for paid support contracts.

Thanks for the help
